In response to a resolution sponsored by Councilman Engel (see attached), Planning Commission staff has been tasked to “research and enhance the regulations pertaining to tree preservation contained in Chapter 10 of the LDC”. As part of that research we are asking for input on the following proposal. At this time, our goal is to collect input from design professionals working on these types of plans and projects at a technical level. We need to know the viability of the proposed changes before we are ready to begin vetting a draft regulation through a public process. Please review and let us know your thoughts and ideas. You can comment on each individual point or on the overall memo itself. We need to hear from you no later than October 24, 2008.
